What is
ozzy.school?

ozzy.school is an interactive online music programme for primary school pupils aged 5–12, turning notes, rhythm, and melodies into step-by-step, story-led adventures that children love and teachers trust.

Pupils follow Ozzy the owl and his friends through films, songs, games, and activities, building music skills through an imaginative, play-based approach.

Teachers get a ready-made structure, and every lesson is engaging, safe, and easy to follow.

Teacher-friendly & pupil-focused

Our secret? Learning through play.  Ozzy.school’s method combines ear training, music theory, and structured practice, always in small, manageable steps that build confidence and provide a solid musical foundation.

Why is Ozzy different?

Narrative-based learning

Most music programmes start with drills and dry theory. Ozzy starts with the story.

Pupils meet Ozzy and his friends and learn one skill at a time in a creative, interactive world. Each new concept is brought to life through stories, songs, and hands-on challenges that give instant feedback and connect naturally to the underlying theory.

This narrative-based, learning-through-doing approach makes theory feel natural, keeps attention high, and builds genuine understanding.

Learning, the Ozzy way

Traditional teaching often asks pupils to memorise facts – leaving many confused when it doesn’t make sense.

At ozzy.school, Ozzy becomes their friend – someone who asks questions, gets stuck, and tries again, just like they do. Learning feels safe, encouraging, and full of small discoveries, helping every child build confidence.

A safe and structured way

Each chapter introduces one new concept, reinforced through films, songs, games, and activities. What pupils learn in one lesson becomes the foundation for the next.
This clear progression helps them feel confident and see their growth — and gives teachers everything they need, with no steps missed.

Story-driven adventures

Children learn best when emotionally engaged – that’s why storytelling is at the heart of ozzy.school. Our adventure follows Ozzy, a little owl who dreams of making music. Along the way, he meets animal friends who teach rhythm, notes, tones, and clefs – all through curiosity and play. Every lesson is part of a story, so pupils don’t just learn music – they live it with Ozzy.

Learn by playing games

Pupils work through interactive games in each chapter.  The games help them explore, practice, and remember new music skills.

The games are a favourite part of ozzy.school — motivating, playful, and perfect for turning music theory into hands-on experience.
